2BDigital Business Breakfast
On Tuesday 6th July 2BDigital held our first public online event, a Business Breakfast. Hosted by Hazel Israel, Education & Skills Advisor at Bantani Education, the event brought together 35 project partners, educators, and experts to discuss the first take on the proposed 2BDigital model.
Kicking of with an icebreaker question of “If you could have one competence superpower, what would you wish for?“, participants had a chance to get to know each other in small breakout rooms before returning to the main session to hear more about the background and the intentions of 2BDigital. As this was the first publicly held event, many in the room were hearing for the first time about the project’s goal to unite EntreComp, DigComp, and LifeComp into a unified model for use in education settings.
The first iteration of the 2BDigital model has been developed by project partners by examining these three existing European frameworks, in addition to other initiatives globally, to find intersections and identify any gaps. 2BDigital presents 5 areas, each divided into 3 competences:
Participants were then invited to give feedback on the proposed model via an interactive Mural session where they were asked to think about: what is missing, strengths, weakness, and any further comments. It wasn’t long before mouses and keyboard were clicking away, everyone eager to share their thoughts and ideas. Going forward, 2BDigital partners will take onboard all of this valuable feedback to present an improved model. Not only this, participants also shared a fantastic range of organisations and experts to work with on this project, our address book will be bursting at the seems! You can view the Mural at the link below. You can also view or download the presentation slides.
We would like to thank everyone for joining us, and for their input during the feedback sessions. If you weren’t able to join us, or would simply like to watch again, the full event stream is now available to watch on our YouTube channel, please feel free to share with your colleagues.
